# Kilo Code on Sideren.

> Kilo Code's custom provider dialog takes the gateway URL, your sdn_ key, and catalog model ids entered by hand.

Kilo Code speaks the OpenAI [Chat Completions](/api/chat-completions) dialect, so it runs
on Sideren through a custom OpenAI-compatible provider.

## One command

```sh theme={null}
npx sideren setup --tool kilo --key sdn_your_key
```

The setup helper writes Kilo Code's Sideren provider for you (VS Code and the `kilo` CLI).
See [setup helper](/setup).

## Configure

Kilo Code is configured in its VS Code GUI: `Settings → Providers → Custom provider`. In
the dialog:

* Provider API: **OpenAI Compatible**.
* Base URL: `https://api.sideren.io/v1`.
* API key: your `sdn_` key.
* Models: add `@sdn/gpt-oss-120b` and `@sdn/glm-5` (manual entry is the guaranteed path;
  leave provider id lowercase).

<Note>
  Migrating from Roo Code? Roo Code was archived in May 2026 and its repo is read-only. If
  you still run an existing install, the same OpenAI Compatible recipe applies (Base URL
  `https://api.sideren.io/v1`, your `sdn_` key, a catalog model id). New setups should use
  Cline or Kilo Code.
</Note>

## Verify

Give Kilo Code a trivial task and watch the first reply arrive on the Sideren model. To
confirm the key works against the gateway without Kilo Code in the loop:

```sh theme={null}
npx sideren test --key sdn_your_key
```
